Governors have to control their own National Guard troops

[On federalizing troops]: "It's quite distressing to many people in our state that we would have to worry about our National Guard being used by the federal government," Green said "I feel strongly that governors have to control their own National Guard troops, and the reason is because we need these excellent officials and military personnel to help us with disaster relief and crises at home."

"For our National Guard deployment to be used by anyone other than the governor would be very disruptive."
