Paul Mitchell: Peace thru strength: defend our vital national interests

One of the most important duties of our federal government is to provide for our security. I believe as Ronald Reagan believed that the best way to preserve our security and peace in a dangerous world is to ensure a strong and nimble national defense. Very simply, peace through strength.

No decision is more important than whether to send our armed forces into combat and I will only support doing so if it is demonstrated that our vital national interests, or those of our allies, are at clear risk.

Paul Mitchell: Support Israel; ally against China; no Iranian nukes

Will offer my full support to Israel, America's strongest ally and the only true democracy in the Middle East.
I will oppose any agreement with Iran that allows it to stand at the precipice of a nuclear weapon which would destabilize the Middle East and threaten the destruction of Israel.
