Claire McCaskill: Hastert should resign his speakership for a cover-up

Clearly what has happened here is an arrogance of power. It is about holding onto power instead of doing the right thing. And Washington is not working. This shouldn’t be about power. This should be about protecting kids and calling the authorities, calling the Ethics Committee. They didn’t even tell the Democrats on the Page Committee. This was about a cover-up. I think it’s wrong. It is a great example of how out of touch Washington is, and how they’ve got their priorities all wrong. Jean Carnahan: Set sail instead of choosing a safe harbor

I hope that when the history of our time is written, it will be said of Democrats that we did not choose the safe harbor. Rather let it be said that we set sail. We caught the wind. We pushed onward through troubled waters. We found a new way. Source: TheKansasCityChannel.com, MO Sen. Jean Carnahan Bio Jan 1, 2001

Jim Talent: Hastert should resign his speakership if found responsible

We need to find out who knew what, we need to have a zero tolerance policy for this, and then let the chips fall where they may. And I presume that's what the investigation is about. I'm comfortable the investigation moving forward, finding out what happened, and then the people who were responsible taking the consequences. And if that's up to and including the speaker, and up to and including resignation. Source: 2006 MO Senate Debate on NBC Meet The Press with Tim Russert Oct 8, 2006

Mark McClosky: Fight cancel culture and preserve our American values

Mark is committed to working with the Republican team in the Senate to continue the fight to confirm Conservative judges in the Supreme Court and around the country. As someone who has been attacked by the left, Mark also understands the terrible treatment that Justices Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett received by the left. The actions of the left to oppose these fantastic Justices shows just how important it is that we continue the fight to confirm Conservative judges across America.

Democrats and the left want to destroy American culture. If they disagree with you, they aim to destroy you. Democrats tried to cancel Mark McCloskey, but they failed. Mark understands the need to fight cancel culture and preserve our American values. We need true fighters in Washington who have the guts and the backbone to stand up to cancel culture and fight for our shared values and the American way of life.?

Mark McClosky: Traditional values make the USA the greatest nation on earth

On June 28, 2020, and then again on July 3, 2020, he and Patty held off a violent mob through the exercise of their 2nd Amendment rights. Since then, they addressed the Republican National Convention and have been guests on news and talk programs. They campaigned in support of President Trump and continue to speak around the nation on their support of the Constitution, the traditional values that have made the USA the greatest nation on earth, and the current threats to its continued existence. Tim Shepard: Work from the bottom up, instead of top-down

For too long we have had leadership that continues to embrace a top-down model of management. Our goals are to undo that. Expand our talent pool. Put human rights back in their place as the guiding principles that reign in the rampant drive for profits and make successful capitalism possible. To work from the bottom up, instead of top-down. To reconnect our leaders and their communities. And to unfold the as-yet-unfulfilled potential still inherent in our America. Source: 2021 MO Senate campaign website TShepard.com Sep 2, 2021

Tim Shepard: We will continue to fight the virus and we will pray

We are all deeply impacted by the tragedy of those lost to COVID-19. In moments when we confront the joy that has been prematurely taken out of our world, we have the chance to lean into our faith in each other. The president conveyed that in order to heal, we must remember those we have lost. We will mourn them and the lives they were not finished living. In their names we will continue to persevere and move forward through this pandemic. We will continue to fight the virus and we will pray.
