George Voinovich: We had to go into Iraq

FINGERHUT: Asked if he, like Bush, would have made the decision to invade Iraq, Fingerhut responded without hesitation, "No, I wouldn't. We did not follow the time honored principles of this country, nor did we have a plan for success," he said. "I am not going to vote to send our troops to battle without adequate troops to do the job."

VOINOVICH: "We had to go into Iraq," Voinovich responded. "The president did the right thing. Saddam Hussein was a bully who thumbed his nose at the world."

Jane Timken: Biden should resign, or be impeached, for Afghan withdrawal

Timken released the following statement: "This is a sad day for America and the direct result of Joe Biden's weakness and reckless failure to secure the ground and get all of our American citizens, Afghan allies, and brave troops out. Biden has completely abdicated his duties as President and Commander in Chief. He has allowed foreign adversaries to dictate conditions. Biden must resign immediately. If he doesn't, he should be impeached and removed from office without delay."

JD Vance: Only global elites profit from endless nation-building wars

For two decades, global elites have played a trick on normal Americans: send your sons and daughters to die for nation-building wars in some far flung corner of the world, and when their utopian fantasies fail, accept millions of refugees into middle and working class neighborhoods. This is a bad deal for Americans, a bad deal for our troops, a bad deal for the refugees, but a good deal for the elites who profit from endless war.
