David Baria (D): Unknown.
Roger Wicker (R): Yes. "The United States needs to go back to the drawing board & work toward a better deal."
Specifically, the lawmakers requested any necessary steps to guarantee the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT), an international banking messaging system that connects financial institutions around the world, disconnects the Central Bank of Iran and all other designated Iranian financial institutions.
Sen. Wicker added that "President Trump was right to withdraw from the failed Iran nuclear deal and the Administration should now go further to maximize pressure on Tehran." He said "blocking Iran's access to financial services would encourage the regime to abandon its nuclear programs, support of terrorism and threats to Israel and regional security."
Freedom still has enemies in Iraq. These terrorists are targeting the very success and the freedom that we’re providing for the Iraqi people.
Iraq is now the central front in the war on terror. And we are rolling back the terrorist threat at the heart of its power. We are striking aggressively at the terrorists in Iraq, defeating them there, so we do not have to face them on the streets of our own cities.
We are calling on other nations to help Iraqis build a free country, which will make all of us more secure. We are standing with the Iraqi people as they assume more responsibilities for their own security and self-government. These are not easy tasks, but they are absolutely essential. We will finish what we have begun, and we will win this essential victory in the war on terror.
