David Clements:
Replace ObamaCare with free market solutions
ObamaCare has created a hopelessly complicated medical system that benefits insurance companies and special interests, not patients. We need reforms that will reduce the real costs of health care, not regulations that reduce the 40 hour work week, or the
incentive to hire more workers.I believe in free market solutions, including the ability to sell policies across state lines. This would improve care and reduce costs by aligning the interests of patients, doctors, and hospitals.
We should also give consumers the freedom to transition away from the employer-based health care system. By allowing coverage to be tied to an individual, and not an employer, workers can keep their insurance in the event they change or lose their job.
As your senator, I will advocate for a sustainable health care system that allows patients and doctors to consider the costs and benefits of each decision. Together, we can restore America's health care system to again being the best in the world.

Jay Block:
COVID: no vaccine passport; no penalties on businesses
As your Governor, the first act after I am sworn in is to waive all penalties and fines against Churches and businesses the current Gov has levied on you. This heavy-handedness ends immediately.I will not require a Vaccine Passport.
Your medical privacy is exactly that, private. You will not be discriminated against by any public organization or private entity in the State of New Mexico under my watch.

Steve Pearce:
Allow small businesses to group together for health plans
Udall said he supports the idea of tax credits for businesses that offer wellness and preventative health programs. Udall said the goal should be universal access for everyone and he supports the idea of making the plan that members of
Congress benefit from available to small businesses. He also supports expanding the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) to cover all children.
Pearce said he supports legislation to allow small businesses to group together and use that increased leverage to negotiate lower prices for health care plans.
He also said curtailing health-related lawsuits, which he calls tort reform, would lower health care costs.

Steve Pearce:
Safety is an issue for reimporting drugs
On issues important to senior citizens, the two sparred over prescription drug policies, Udall said the
U.S. should allow the reimportation of drugs from other countries and the government should be allowed to negotiate with the drug companies to lower prescription drug costs.
Pearce said safety is an issue for reimporting drugs. "When we start bringing in medicines from out there that are not approved by the (Federal Drug Administration), we're going to get things that are made in a bathtub in Nigeria,"
Pearce said. "Tom, that was probably the riskiest vote that you took." Pearce said the prescription drug bill that passed Congress has meant savings for senior citizens.

Michelle Lujan-Grisham:
Expanding Medicaid will lead to universal health care state
Right now, New Mexico is the only state where more than half the population is on Medicaid, including 80% of children. Expanding Medicaid coverage offers us a chance to revolutionize care and become a universal health care state.
And that's exactly what we intend to do, building a healthier, longer living, more prosperous New Mexico where we can live for our dreams and decrease the fear and hardship of untreated chronic conditions in the process.
