Preserve Second Amendment rights

Assembly Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy will be presented with the California Rifle and Pistol Association’s Outstanding Legislator Award during the group’s 130th anniversary banquet on Saturday in Irvine. McCarthy said. “My son and I recently went hunting together, enjoying an activity that is truly part of our national heritage, and I will continue working to preserve the Second Amendment rights of all conscientious gun owners and sellers.”

Establishes a national standard for the carrying of concealed firearms (other than a machinegun or destructive device) by non-residents. Authorizes a person who has a valid permit to carry a concealed firearm in one state and who is not prohibited from carrying a firearm under federal law to carry a concealed firearm in another state:
