  • LLB from Harvard University, 1958
    Professional Experience:
  • His book Unsafe at Any Speed (1965) influenced Congress to bring automobile design under federal control.
  • Since 1965, Nader has been considered the most prominent leader of the U.S. consumer protection movement.
  • His team of investigators is popularly dubbed "Nader's Raiders"
  • Founded the Center for the Study of Responsive Law, the Center for Auto Safety, and the Public Interest Research Group.
  • Named by the LA Times as one of the 50 people who most influenced business this century.
  • Authored dozens of books on issues of consumer safety, citizen advocacy, and other political topics.
    Political Experience:
  • Ran as a write-in presidential candidate in 1992
  • As the 1996 presidential nominee of the Green Party, Nader won 684,902 votes.
