Gray Davis on Abortion

Former Democratic CA Governor

No restrictions on women’s right to choose, not on my watch

The Governor was unequivocal in his Inaugural Address: “To those who would seek to deny a woman her right to choose, let me offer this suggestion: don’t waste the Legislature’s time trying to pass bills restricting women’s constitutional rights. It simply will not happen on my watch.”

Over the last four years, no Governor in America has more vigorously defended the freedom to choose than Governor Davis. Today, California is, hands down, the pro-choice state in America - and proud of it.
