“My long-standing commitment [is] to preserve a woman’s right to make decisions about her body.” During Rendell’s tenure as an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia, manslaughter charges were brought against people who had botched illegal back-alley abortions in which women died. “I saw firsthand the horror that women were forced to go through.
