Ron Barber on Health Care

No massive cuts to Medicare; no private Medicare insurance

Ron has made four Medicare Promises, they are:
  1. He will not support massive cuts in Medicare benefits as proposed in the "Ryan Budget."
  2. He will not support making Medicare a voluntary program. If healthy seniors walk away, it will make Medicare more expensive for those who need it most.
  3. He will not vote for a Medicare Program that requires seniors buy private insurance, which will get more expensive every year.
  4. He will not vote to make seniors take responsibility for fixing the deficit. Seniors have worked hard their entire lives earning Medicare benefits, and we have to keep our end of the deal.
