Deport criminal immigrants, but don't send back others

The candidates agree on supporting immigration rules that don't send most illegal immigrants across the border. The prominent candidates, including Marshall, said they want Congress to approve a comprehensive immigration reform package that would include strong border enforcement and a methodical way to resolve the status of the 12 million illegal immigrants in the country. Marshall declined to say whether she believed creating a path to citizenship should be part of the comprehensive program but said immigrants deemed by judges as the worst criminals should be deported.
