Howard Mills on Crime

The root causes of crime are the criminals who engage in it

I believe in the simple maxim employed by Governor Pataki: "The root causes of crime are the criminals who engage in it". We owe it to those who abide by the law to punish those who would cross it. The emergence of DNA has given us a critical new tool in the war on crime. I strongly support abolishing the statute of limitations for rape, as well as an end of parole for violent criminals. I would work with prosecutors and law enforcement officials to continually address criminal justice issues.
