Gabby Giffords on Immigration

Democrat

Likes DREAM Act for specific youth, not illegal immigration

The people eligible for the DREAM Act know no country other than the US. If they want to serve, we should find a way to make that possible. If they want higher education, we should find a way to make that possible. The DREAM Act would put in place a decade-long, rigorous process available only to people younger than 30 who have lived in the US for at least five years and were under 16 when they were brought here. It will not apply to children brought here illegally in the future.
