Jim Bridenstine on Drugs

Legalizing aligns government revenue with drug addiction

I am a pilot in the Navy Reserve who regularly flies counter-drug missions in Central and South America. I have seen firsthand the impact of an open border. Cartels in South America are illegally trafficking narcotics, weapons, and young girls to northern Mexico where they are transferred to other cartels and brought across the border. The cartels in northern Mexico own police officers, judges, and politicians. They are narco-terrorists who slaughter innocent victims to keep control.

Liberals suggest legalizing, regulating, and taxing narcotics. This would align government revenue with drug addiction. I suggest securing the border, enforcing the law, and disrupting the drug trade.
