Lee Jones on Homeland Security

Democratic Senate Challenger (KS)

Bush policy alienates US from our traditional allies

A policy that isolates and alienates the US from our traditional allies is flawed from the outset. The flagrant go-it-alone foreign policy strategy displayed by the Bush administration and staunchly supported by Sen. Brownback has seriously wounded our credibility and stature in the world community; it has given our friends cause to spurn us and our enemies more cause to hate us. As the world's only superpower, we must be willing to flex our muscles, but we must also be willing to stretch out our arms.
