A: America is a divided nation that is growing more polarized between the two major political parties, and between extreme ideologies from left to right among the general public. I am most concerned with the subset of the Democratic Party that by deeds versus word alone are growing more authoritarian in nature. I believe America has a growing Marxist problem, and the resetting of America from the original intent of the founders.
Sherman is a man of action, not empty rhetoric, ensuring his policies yield tangible results that enhance the lives of his constituents. He's a reformer, an outsider who bridges political divides, offering a fresh perspective to Texas politics.
As DeSoto's first Black Mayor, he orchestrated a remarkable turnaround, boosting economic development and affordable housing. In the Texas House of Representatives, he authored bipartisan police reform in the wake of George Floyd's tragic murder and secured funding for UNT Dallas.
The woke, socialist, gender confused agenda that has swept through our government, its institutions, and our educational institutions must be addressed. Objective truth is not relative and the Constitution does not allow for the stripping of one individuals rights to further an agenda of another's.
I believe Michiganders want public servants whom they can respect even when they disagree, and I want to raise the bar for elected officials. I have two step-daughters, both in public service, and Dave and I live on that same family farm in Holly.
A: Being a good father and husband and Christian. Service to my Country. Service as a Senator that produced results to restore safety, a strong economy, and unity.
Q: What characteristics are most important for an elected official?
A: Character; Duty, honor, country.
Q: What qualities would make you a successful officeholder?
A: Character; Duty, Honor, Country values. I believe in the US Constitution and one Nation under God.
A: I am a seventh Generation West Virginian currently serving in my second term as Mayor of my hometown of Wheeling. My first job [was] as a legislative assistant for then-Senator Robert Byrd. This experience was a formative one, allowing me to witness firsthand the successes attainable through strategic compromise, along with the reward of public service. Inspired, I enrolled at Georgetown University Law Center. By 2008, after working as an attorney, I was--candidly--burnt out and seeking something more meaningful. At age 38, I returned home to Wheeling in search of a more impactful career. Before long, I purchased a vacant historic bank in the heart of downtown and made improving my city a personal quest. Today, that building houses two law firms along with me, my wife Cassandra, and our son Harrison. I ran for Mayor in 2016 because I felt Wheeling had all the essential ingredients of a great city but was lacking in strategic vision.
A: Retired Indiana statewide trade association executive. Former state legislator having defeated the Republican Speaker of the Indiana House 59-41%. Running in hopes of codifying Roe v Wade; getting military assault weapons off the streets; guaranteeing medical care to LGBTQ children via federal law; attacking climate change before it is too hot to live on Earth; confirm qualified, fair, and impartial judges; better protect teachers and librarians from being political pawns and being killed on the job; no more political tax cuts for the rich; lower drug costs and adequate medical care in the rural areas; properly taking care of our veterans, active personnel and their families; creating good paying jobs with benefits; and, reschedule marijuana from Schedule 1 to 3.
Bradshaw has worked as an organizer at local, state, and national levels, including work with the Mid-South Peace & Justice Center, Sierra Club, Stand for Children, Tennesseans for Fair Taxation, AFGE, and the AFL-CIO
A: I am a libertarian, running for Wisconsin State Assembly as a Republican. I am a lifelong Wisconsin resident, a graduate of UW- Madison, and served as a combat medic in the US Army. I have 2 children, and I'm a real estate broker. I have experience as an entrepreneur, small business owner, and member of bob-profit boards.
Our community finds itself at the center of a culture war, amongst many other forms of warfare... Spiritual, Psychological, Economic, etc. Like many communities in crisis across our country, we need leaders who will not sell out.
A: Donald J Trump, 45th President of the United States. I spotted him as a political leader when I was running for President in 2015. I immediately recognized that he had a heart for the people of Arizona and the people of the United States, he had leadership and management skills to put together actions needed to lead the nation (though they did not always parallel my own) and that he, like the Founding Fathers, would commit his name, resources and life to perpetuating the Republic of the United States and our exceptional place in the world. This was what I was trying to do and still am. I also share his values, of liberality if not political liberalism, conservatism and love of country, family and God; courage, resourcefulness, integrity and willingness to work with all Americans for the good of the nation and the planet.
A: The Bible. It is an amazing source of all history and society, explaining the origins of everything an the existence of God. Like this nation it is not a fiction of the English language, but ancient and yet timely. Today I could listen to the Gospels of Matthew and John in Swedish. It is the foundation of the world.
A: Freedom is on the ballot. We will set standards that the rest of the nation will seek to emulate. We must expect more out of ourselves. We can compete with anyone in the world. In order to compete and to be a top producing state we have to be aggressive in our aspirations and again expect to set standards that the rest of the nation will seek to follow. We create unimaginable success by being collaborative and placing aside political parties and insist on results. My mantra is "Make No Little Plans". We need to challenge ourselves to make a difference in each other's lives.
