Stephen Noble Smith:
End discrimination based on gender or sexual orientation
Pass the strongest Employment & Housing Non-Discrimination Act (EHNDA) in America. Basic protections for LGBTQ+ West Virginians are long overdue and should extend to employment, housing, health insurance, credit/lending, survivorship, foster care and
second parent adoption, anti-bullying protections, state ID designations and family leave. No worker should be able to claim a religious exemption for providing core job functions to someone based on their gender or sexual orientation.

Patrick Morrisey:
Disappointed with gay marriage legalization
Morrisey was against the ruling saying he was "very disappointed" and that the decision was no surprise to him. "States should be able to define marriage, that's always been my position," said Morrisey. "At the end of the day,
you cannot deprive people the opportunity to debate issues themselves. Having unelected judges usurp the people's voice is really problematic."
