Control of land to the state government

The federal government controls over 80% of Nevada land. This limits opportunities for reasonable growth that would provide a tax base for Nevada, without increasing tax rates. I support transferring much of the land now controlled by the federal government to the state of Nevada for multiple-use public land and private sales. I also believe that the proceeds of BLM land sales should be used for infrastructure improvements and not current ongoing expenses. Source: Campaign website, ZiserForSenate.com May 11, 2004
