Denise Majette on Social Security
Former Democratic Rep (GA-4); 2004 former Senate challenger
|
No risky privatization schemes
Social Security provides a critical safety net for our senior citizens. I am committed to protecting and preserving Social Security for current retirees and future generations, and will oppose risky privatization schemes that would gamble with retirees’
money. I support increasing the amount individuals can contribute to their IRA’s as well as providing financial incentives. Our goal should be a viable retirement plan for future retirees while still honoring the commitments we have made to our seniors.
