As Governor, Myrth will conserve resources through energy efficient policies that maximize the use of renewable energy. The State Energy Office now has the administrative authority to manage the state?s renewable energy fund. Myrth will maximize the use
of this funding and investigate new strategies to promote renewable energy. She believes that by 2020, 20% of the state?s energy could come from clean, renewable energy sources. Myrth will take economically sound steps toward making this goal a reality.
