Supports comprehensive immigration reform

The kinds of opportunities I had as the son of a union laborer and small farmer--opportunities that allowed me to become a Fortune 500 CEO--simply do not exist for many young people today. The Bush administration and Republican leadership in Congress have driven our country into a ditch and Mitch McConnell continues to stand in the way, refusing to let anyone get us back on the road.

Partisan obstructionism and the influence of special interests are preventing common-sense solutions to man of the challenges we face. This needs to change.

Dozens of important issues, including universal health care, comprehensive immigration reform, and employee free choice cannot get past the Republican leadership in the Senate.

Our representatives should look beyond the letter behind their last name and the contributors to their campaigns. Their responsibility is to the people and they should care more about us than partisanship. We need someone who can bring people together to get things done.
