Drug benefit in Medicare, now

As Delaware’s Senator, he would diligently work to put an end to the stalemate in Washington over the creation of a prescription drug benefit as a part of Medicare. “This is a perfect example of what’s wrong in Washington,” said Clatworthy. “Everybody says that seniors need a prescription drug benefit, but when it’s time to make things happen, they let partisan politics get in the way of important progress. As a small businessman, I will say let’s sit down, work out our differences and pass something that will help the people. The time has come to end the political games in Washington and elect leaders that will do their jobs and pass some meaningful legislation.“
