West is dying because children are no longer so desirable
The reason the West is dying is simple: children are no longer so desirable. The child-centered society has been succeeded by the self-centered society. The purpose of life is the pursuit of pleasure, not the sacrifices required in the raising of
children.Freed from the moral constraints of Christianity, European and American young wish to enjoy the benefits of matrimony without the burdens. Society and science have accommodated them with contraceptives, the pill, the patch, sterilizations and
abortion on request. And the social sanctions against sexual indulgence and the single life have largely disappeared.
Women are putting off having children to enter the labor market where their talents are rewarded and their social and economic
independence can be won.
For those educated women who want the good life, a law degree or a doctorate is the way, not a husband and kids. Many families can no longer get by on one salary. But when the wife goes to work, she often never goes home again.

Moral & cultural revolution destroyed American family
Who and what destroyed the American family? Was it not the social, moral, and cultural revolution that celebrated sex, drugs, rock 'n' roll, and women's liberation from the burdens of childbearing and child-rearing, and gave us condoms in junior high,
no-fault divorce, abortion on demand, and daycare for the survivors?Among the nearly 2 million American males in jail and prisons, the most common attribute is that almost all are from broken homes.
Liberals preached liberation from the duties of marriage and the moral norms of Christianity. Now conservatives tax and borrow to deal with the crisis created by the liberation.
Having deconstructed our society, the revolutionaries demand we provide more and pay more to deal with the consequences of what they did to America.

Secede from dominant culture to maintain traditional values
If America is ceasing to be the good country we grew up in, what do we owe the government? The answer lies in Matthew XXII: 21: "Render therefore unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's & to God the things that are God's." Traditionalists should emulate
Roman converts. They remained loyal to the Roman Empire, but seceded from its pagan culture.Secession from this culture can take many forms--from giving up movies and TV, to blacking out channels, to homeschooling, to protesting outside abortion
clinics, to moving to a less-polluted environment. The Amish seceded long ago. Orthodox Jews have seceded. In the 1980s, Evangelical and Fundamentalist Christians began to create an alternative culture and parallel institutions--Christian schools, TV
shows, magazines, and publishing houses. Millions of children attend Christian schools; over a million are homeschooled.
Adults can secede from the dominant culture by buying [traditional] books and tapes, [such as those from] the much-derided 1950s.

Sex and Drugs and Abortions have killed the West
The West is dying. Its nations have ceased to reproduce, and their populations have stopped growing and begun to shrink. Not since the Black Death carried off a third of
Europe in the fourteenth century has there been a graver threat to the survival of Western civilization. Since Roe vs. Wade, 40 million abortions have been performed in the United States.
For this revolution [the cultural revolution that started in the 60’s which entailed mass abortion] is not unique to America. A civilization, a culture, a faith, and a moral order rooted in that faith are passing away and are being replaced
by a new civilization, culture, faith, and moral order. This new moral code was crafted to justify the new lifestyle already adopted, as they indulged themselves in SEX, DRUGS, RIOTS, and ROCK and ROLL.

Shut down NEA; Hollywood causes moral decay
At Bob Jones University, Buchanan found a receptive audience for his accusation that Hollywood and film producers are a source of moral decay in the nation. “Instead of breaking up Microsoft, why don’t we break up Disney?”
he asked. He also said he wants to shut the National Endowment for the Arts.

Elian should stay in US; father is speaking under duress
Elian Gonzalez’s mother felt it was so important that he live in freedom that she risked his life, and she died that the boy would live in freedom. And I believe he ought to now. What about the rights of the father? If the father will come to the US with
his family [and said] that he wants to take that boy back to Cuba, that’s one thing. But what the father has been saying in Cuba is under duress. I don’t think we can take the word of an individual who speaks with basically with a gun at his back.

Home schooling teaches children values
It’s time we started telling the truth. [Events like the Columbine massacre are] not going to be solved by food stamps, or welfare, , or getting a new TV set. There’s something wrong in the hearts,
and so it begins at home. And the home schoolers are one of the best answers to this whole thing, where they teach children values. But we can’t give up on the public schools either.

Lacerate entertainment industry that pollutes our culture
If some polluter were putting poison and filth into a river, the president would lacerate that industry. This president ought to do the same to those folks in the entertainment industry who pollute our culture from which everyone has to drink. The
fundamental problem is the poisoning of the culture and, secondly, that God and the Ten Commandments and Christian instruction and all moral teaching have been removed from these public schools. And into that vacuum has gone the law of Satan.

Littleton due to poisoned culture declaring “God is dead”
What was it in the upbringing or education of these two boys that failed to instill in their souls a conscience that discerned right from wrong? What was it in our polluted and poisoned culture that suggested that violence, murder, and suicide was a
valid expression of their resentment? America got a glimpse of the last stop on that train to hell she boarded decades ago when we declared that God is dead, and that each of us is his or her own god who can make up the rules as we go along.
