Unhealthy pleasures should be decided by individuals

I believe that the decision whether or not to trade one’s own long-term health for whatever short-term pleasures smoking may provide -- like the decisions to drink alcoholic beverages, eat fatty foods, or drink caffeinated products -- is one that should be left to the individual, not the Federal government. More penalties & drug testing, more education & treatment

Increase penalties for selling illegal drugs, including mandatory jail sentences
Capital punishment for convicted international drug traffickers
Drug testing for federal employees in sensitive positions
Strengthen current laws dealing with non-controlled substances, including inhalants and commercially available pills
Increase federally-sponsored drug education and drug treatment programs
