Alan Wilson on Jobs

No place for courts telling church leaders who they can hire

South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson has joined a coalition of state attorneys general in support of religious organizations' autonomy over their missions and employment practices.

"I will always protect religious liberty, and the courts have no place telling church leaders who they can and cannot hire based on judges' interpretation of who's following the church's mission closely enough," Attorney General Wilson said.

DEI polices are about discrimination, not diversity

South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson is calling on Costco to end its "unlawful" diversity, equity, and inclusion policies" (DEI). "Costco's DEI policies may have a fancy name, but at their core, they're about discrimination, not diversity," Wilson said. "America was built on the idea that individuals are judged by their character and contributions, not the color of their skin. Costco should focus on merit, not woke politics."
