Bill Eigel on Health Care

Obamacare was shoved down the throat of small business

As a small business owner, I learned how to cut waste and turn a struggling business around. Despite the challenges of the economic recession in 2008 and 2009, we expanded to serve customers nationwide.

I didn't want anything to do with politics. As a business owner, the government was always regulating my company, telling me how to run my business, and taxing me to no end.

When Obamacare was shoved down the throat of my small business, our premiums tripled and our coverage was worse.

That caused me to get involved and eventually run for state senate in 2016.

As a senator, I've been the same person I promised to be. I was a founding member of the Conservative Caucus and the MO Freedom Caucus.

Prohibit transgender-related treatment for children under 18

Prohibit Transgender-related Medical Procedures for Children Under 18: We are seeing increasing evidence of the devastating effect of transgender-based medical procedures, therapies, treatments, prescriptions, and exposure to children under the age of 18. Eigel supports the prohibition of any treatment or service that tries to inflict transgender therapies or medical procedures on any individual under the age of 18.

Time to reform bloated, inefficient, ineffective Medicaid

I look forward to reviewing and helping any lawmaker that is serious about reforming our Medicaid program, so that it actually focuses on successful outcomes and saving taxpayers money. I'm under no illusion that Missouri's Medicaid program will be run like a business overnight, but the time to reform this bloated, inefficient, ineffective program is now.
