Social media companies should be vigilant about hate speech
Q: You have a number of media and social media companies in your state. What are you asking them to do?HOCHUL: We want them to be more vigilant and use the resources they have to hire more people, change their algorithms, be able to identify the
second that this hate speech appears, and let there be a determination by law enforcement quickly. We need a multifaceted approach. We need vigilance, not just law enforcement, but also from the platforms that are allowing this to spread.
