Environmental regulations protect families

A: Oppose as a blanket statement. Clean air, safe water, healthy soil, and protected natural resources are not luxuries competing against human needs. They are human needs. When water is poisoned or air becomes unhealthy, families--not bureaucracies or corporations--live with the consequences. Environmental regulations should be based on transparent science, measurable outcomes, and realistic economic impact. Rules that accomplish nothing except creating paperwork should be changed, but protections that prevent companies from transferring pollution costs onto surrounding communities must be enforced. Economic growth and environmental responsibility should strengthen one another through innovation rather than remain trapped in permanent conflict.
