Tom Leonard on Homeland Security

Would welcome deployment of National Guard in Detroit

Three Republican candidates for governor say they favor bringing the National Guard to Detroit to fight crime. "Detroit is still one of the most dangerous cities in the entire country," Leonard told Bridge Michigan during the Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference, Bridge reports.

"If I was the governor of the state of Michigan, I would be taking the federal government up on whatever help they were willing to give us."
