Increase funding for Federal R&D programs

Q: What policies would you support to ensure that America remains the world leader in innovation?

A: As a PhD Chemical Engineer, I fully support the belief that our scientific and technological expertise has been the key to our global leadership. Every dollar invested in S&T R&D and commercialization is a dollar invested in our future leadership. I believe we must:

Fully fund and whenever possible increase funding for our Federal research and development programs,
Work to ensure that the United States remains the premier country for undertaking graduate research programs,
Look for ways to improve technology transfer and commercialization from University systems.
