Invest in our public schools and Head Start
I've seen firsthand the value a quality education can have for someone hoping to start the career of their dreams. Having served as the president of my local PTA, I know how important it is for a student to get all of the tools they need to succeed.
That means both investing in our public schools and supporting programs that prepare our kids for school, like early child education and Head Start. I've proposed commonsense solutions to equip individuals with the skills they need to succeed, including:
- Make college more affordable by reining in student loan rates and increasing funding for Pell Grants.
- Foster relationships between these institutions and local industries to help employ and keep our graduates in the area.
-
Utilize our community colleges along with local businesses to invest in on the job training.
- Invest in vocational education in high schools to help students learn a trade and equip them with skills to start students down the path of a new career.

Opposes education vouchers.
Graham opposes the CC survey question on school vouchers
CC.org's self-description: "The Christian Coalition voter guide [is] one of the most powerful tools Christians have ever had to impact our society during elections. This simple tool has helped educate tens of millions of citizens across this nation as to where candidates for public office stand on key faith and family issues.
The Coalition is a political organization, made up of pro-family Americans who care deeply about ensuring that government serves to strengthen and preserve, rather than threaten, our families and our values. To that end, we work continuously to identify, educate and mobilize Christians for effective political action."
The CC survey summarizes candidate stances on the following topic: 'Education vouchers that allow parents to choose public or private school for their children'
