Jake Merrick on Technology

I will fight to prioritize road improvements

If there's one central justification for collecting taxes, it's to maintain essential infrastructure like roads, highways, and bridges for transportation and commerce. We all want Oklahoma's roads to improve, and I will fight to make this a priority. Oklahoma's 2026 budget allocates approximately $2.58 billion for infrastructure, with $2.3 billion directed to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation for roads, highways, and bridges. This is a substantial sum, so the issue isn't always how much is spent but how effectively it's being used.
