Seniors should be more suspicious of solicitors
Roy Cooper paid a visit to the Tyvola Senior Center in Charlotte to raise awareness about scams targeting senior citizens. Cooper talked about ways seniors can protect themselves from falling victim to identity theft or fraud. Cooper said more
and more seniors are getting ripped off through harassing phone calls or door-to-door visits. He encouraged them to be more suspicious of solicitors. Cooper said you should never give money of personal information to people you don't know.
