Teri Hourihan on Environment

Extreme federal over-reach hurts America

Q: Your opinion on "EPA federal over-reach hurts America"?

A: I support strong protections for clean air, clean water, and public health, but I also believe federal agencies must operate within their legal authority and consider the economic and practical effects of their regulations. When EPA regulations become unnecessarily burdensome, exceed federal authority, or prevent states from developing responsible solutions tailored to their own communities, I oppose that overreach. Environmental protection and economic growth do not have to be opposing goals; we should demand both responsible regulation and government accountability.
