Introduced bill to cut off purchase of China-made drugs
Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) & Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) have introduced a bill to end the U.S. being dependent on Chinese drugs. "Our bill would require federal entities like the Department of Defense, VA hospitals, Medicare and Medicaid to cut off
purchases of drugs with Chinese ingredients no later than 2025," they wrote. "This requirement would phase in over a period of years to give drug companies time to adjust, but would put clear pressure on importers to stop doing business with the CCP."

Replace ObamaCare with patient-centered free-market reforms
Health care coverage under ObamaCare continues to grow more costly for Wisconsin families. Millions of people have lost their insurance plan, or access to their preferred doctor. I grew up in a family of physicians, and I know how important it is to
have quality, timely, and affordable health care. I will push legislation that will repeal ObamaCare, and replace it with patient-centered, free-market reforms that will actually move our health care system in the right direction.
We need reforms that will lower premium costs and allow Wisconsinites to be in charge of their own health care rather than unelected bureaucrats in
Washington, DC, while still protecting those with preexisting conditions.

Supports repealing the 2010 affordable care act.
Gallagher supports the PVS survey question on ObamaCare
The Project Vote Smart Voter Guide inferred how candidates would respond to the question, 'Health Care: Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?'
Project Vote Smart notes, "in response to the increasing unwillingness of candidates to answer issue questions, Project Vote Smart has researched Congressional candidates' public records to determine candidates' likely responses on certain key issues. These issue positions, from the year 2016, are provided [for candidates who] refused to provide voters with positions on key issues covered by the 2016 Political Courage Test, despite repeated requests. Historically, candidates have failed to complete our test due to the advice they receive from their parties and advisors and out of fear of negative attack ads."
