Tim Burchett on Foreign Policy

Israel is our single greatest ally

Tim believes that Israel is our single greatest ally. As the only democracy in the Middle East, Israel and America share a common commitment to freedom, the rule of law, fair democratic elections, and human rights. At the same time, the two countries share many strategic goals and work together on security initiatives that have saved countless American and Israeli lives. Tim is fully committed to defending Israel's right to defend itself and supports moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem.

Iran nuclear deal was a nightmare, a big mistake

Q: What is your stance on the 2015 Iranian nuclear deal?

Burchett: That was a nightmare. That was a mistake--a big mistake. The American public basically got ripped off, and they trusted Obama. I didn't trust him. It was a horrible deal, and the national media was in bed with Obama and they should've exposed that for what it was. We gave a bunch of terrorists money, billions of dollars, and it was just wrong.
