Raise minimum wage to $10.10 per hour

New York's income inequality gap is the highest in the nation, with millions of low-wage workers struggling to meet our state's skyrocketing costs of living. Kathleen believes that we must stop that gap from growing further, and that raising the federal minimum wage to $10.10 is a good place to start.

Kathleen will work to pass legislation that would raise the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour, provide annual increases to adjust for inflation, and implement tax credits for small business owners to offset initial payroll increases. This balanced approach will help lift a million hard-working Americans out of poverty, and it will boost our local economies, stimulate demand for small-business products, and spur wage growth and job creation for middle- as well as low-income workers.
