Equal pay for equal work, expand paid family leave

She will be a leader in fighting for equal pay for equal work and expanding paid family leave policies for all Oklahomans. It's past time we address the problems impacting Oklahoma women -- preventing domestic violence, fighting for equal pay, reducing the number of Oklahoma women in prison (which is the highest in the nation). Need to create skilled workforce, raise minimum wage

According to the Commerce Department, there are over 85,000 open jobs in Oklahoma because we don't have a skilled workforce to fill them. We need to make college affordable, encourage Oklahomans to attend CareerTech to learn job skills, and provide potential employers a qualified workforce. The lack of an educated workforce is affecting all sectors. Strengthen the middle class by increasing wages

Q: What specific legislative proposals will you support to ensure that good jobs paying a living wage are available to Americans?

A: In general, I would support legislation to strengthen the middle class by increasing wages, providing better benefits and protecting the rights of workers. My approach would be to incentivize these programs for businesses who want to be good actors in growing the middle class. I also believe access to higher education through college, CareerTech or other job training programs is important to increasing economic opportunity for all Americans.
