Community-based economics over corporate capitalism

Community-based economics constitutes an alternative to both corporate capitalism & state socialism. I firmly believe that we need to adopt better local control of our economies to benefit us all, rather than a fortunate few. Greens call for an economic system that is based on a combination of private businesses, decentralized democratic cooperatives, publicly owned enterprises, all of which put human and ecological needs alongside profits to measure success, and are accountable to their communities.
