Competition and flexibility will reduce cost

We must REPEAL and REVISE the current federal health care plan and work towards passage of a new plan that reflects careful listening to the voice of the American people and truly reduces cost and improves care. We must win at least one chamber in Congress in November in order to deny funding of this health care mandate.
    Government reforms should provide for more options, not less. I believe in strengthening the private market system and measures which create competition and drive down costs. That is why I support the following reforms to health care policies:
  1. Tax-free medical (health) savings accounts
  2. Portability of your plan from one employer to another
  3. Tort reform
  4. The ability to purchase insurance across State lines
I believe competition and flexibility will reduce cost, increase participation and improve quality, not penalties enforced by the IRS as specified in the new law.
