Josh Mandel on Health Care

In order to save Medicare, we must change it

Q: How would you put Medicare on stronger financial ground?

A: Those who refuse to reform Medicare are condemning the program to the ash heap of history. In order to save Medicare, we must change it. Saving Medicare will be a top priority of mine, as this important program represents a promise made by the government to the American people. We can reform it in a way that does not impact current recipients or those approaching Medicare-eligible age.

ObamaCare is unconstitutional and economically damaging

Josh Mandel believes that the federal government takeover of our healthcare will damage our economy as no other piece of legislation has done in recent years. It is an unprecedented and unconstitutional intrusion into the private decision-making processes of American families. It burdens employers and healthcare industry firms with new costs. Government-run healthcare should be repealed in whole immediately. We should then adopt common-sense reforms to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
