George Eichhorn on Health Care
Republican Senate challenger
|
Competitive consumer-directed care over socialized medicine
George Eichhorn believes the incentives are all wrong within our current system. America's third-party payer system does not work correctly. The pay-for-services model doesn't promote health, it doesn't encourage prevention and less costly care and there
are insufficient incentives to promote technologies that will prevent errors and reduce overall costs. Finally federal government programs, which try to minimize costs for the government, are in fact making private costs higher.Patient centered health
care is the only real solution. George believes that people--not the government--should control their health care. The debate is really socialized medicine verses competitive consumer-directed care.
Everyone is for having health care available for ever
man, woman and child in America--it's just a matter of whether the government provides the universal health care, whether the government mandates the universal health care, or that universal health care is the choice of the people who pay for it.
