Crack down on the “offshoring” of jobs to India & China

If I’m your next United States Senator, I’ll crack down on the “offshoring” of jobs to India, China and other countries, by eliminating tax breaks that encourage offshoring, negotiating better trade agreements, enforcing the trade agreements we have and restricting government contracts to companies that offshore. American companies need to act like American companies again and export products, not jobs.

Raise the Minimum Wage to $6.65

John Kennedy said today if elected he would strongly support raising the federal minimum wage from $5.15 to $6.65 an hour over the next 18 months, which would boost the pay of 10 million working Americans. “The federal minimum wage hasn’t been raised in seven years,” said Kennedy. “Since that time, inflation has eroded its value by 15 percent. It’s time to do something.” Kennedy opposes any effort to gut the federal minimum wage law by allowing individual states to “opt-out” of the minimum wage.
