Pamela Evette on Government Reform

Sunset outdated regulations; cut red tape

As an accountant by trade and a business owner, Pamela knows that every dollar matters and efficiency isn't optional--it's essential. The South Carolina Office of Government Efficiency (S.C.O.G.E.) will bring outside experts, business leaders, and innovators to root out waste, fraud, and abuse; sunset outdated regulations; cut red tape; and leverage technology and AI to streamline state government--saving taxpayer dollars and delivering better service for the people of South Carolina.

Will push for transparency and strong ethics

Integrity and trust are the foundation of authentic leadership. Elected office is a high honor and a serious responsibility, which is why our leaders in Columbia must stay focused on the issues that matter and serve the people who elected them. Pamela will push for transparency and strong ethics to ensure state government works for the people--not special interests or back-room deals.

Require voters to prove U.S. citizenship before registering

Strengthen Voter ID Requirements: Require all voters to prove U.S. citizenship before registering to vote and closing the "reasonable impediment" loophole that allows people to vote without showing a valid government-issued ID.

Clean Up Voter Rolls: Require government agencies to share information, helping ensure only U.S. citizens living in South Carolina who are registered voters can vote on election day(s).
