Alabama should expand Medicaid, 90% paid by federal govt.

[Dr. Will Boyd on Medicaid expansion]: "Right now, if we were to expand Medicaid, it would be at a tune of about $228 million cost to Alabama--90% of that cost would be taken care of by the federal government. That means we would only pay, Alabamians, about $22.8 million to expand Medicaid. On the flip side, that would bring in about $397,000,000 to our state," said Boyd. Support and introduce legislation that helps fill the healthcare/Medicaid coverage gap that exists for women in Alabama
Support a health care program affordable to all
Work to lower prescription drug costs in the United States
Improve and protect Medicare and Medicaid
Work with the Offices of the Secretary of Health and Human Services to use the bargaining power of 40 million Medicare beneficiaries to negotiate better drug prices while also providing beneficiaries with an option to obtain drug coverage directly from Medicare rather than a private plan
