Juliana Stratton on Principles & Values

Progress comes when ordinary people choose faith over fear

"At every crossroads in history, progress has come because ordinary people chose courage over comfort and faith over fear. I'm honored that these trusted community leaders have chosen to put their faith in me to deliver for all Illinoisans in the U.S. Senate," said Juliana Stratton. "Now more than ever, we must keep justice, healing, and hope at the center of our work, and these faith leaders bring light to their congregations each day."

There is no place for political violence in our country

There is no place for political violence in our country. Regardless of your political affiliation, we must be able to disagree peacefully. My background is in mediation; I know how to bring people to the table and not just reach a compromise, but actually build consensus.

Juneteenth means always honor that legacy; more to be done

Well, we know Juneteenth is also known as Freedom Day. And what I think about a lot on a day like today is I think about my ancestors. And that's why I do what I do. And Juneteenth, to me, means always honor that legacy and recognize that there's still much more work to be done, but we have to also acknowledge the progress that we've made.
