I, on the other hand, am an angry black woman. I'm angry that the Florida Democratic Party leaders see black people as nothing more than votes during election cycles. I'm angry that the party that is supposed to be about equality, isn't equal at all when it comes to our community. I'm angry that I'm supposed to vote for the Patrick Murphys of the party, when those same people will never vote for someone who looks like me.
In this day of police violence toward our community, you will never hear Patrick Murphy stand up for you. He will never speak out. Why? Because he'd rather ignore the African-American community than upset some racist white Democrats. Wake up, black people!
Today, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee officially endorsed Murphy, despite the fact other candidates, including liberal-backed Alan Grayson, are said to still be mulling candidacies.
The DSCC is existing senate Democrats' main campaign and fundraising organization, with the goal of getting other Dems elected to the senate. The DSCC usually endorses incumbents straightaway but picks and chooses which open primaries it gets involved in.
However, the members of the Democratic Progressive Caucus of Florida oppose Murphy and remain frustrated with the establishment's refusal to consider other candidates--including Grayson.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has added nine candidates to its "Red to Blue" list, a designation singling out strong campaigns in open or Republican-held districts. The list now includes two categories: targeted districts and "emerging" districts which may be targeted later.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is funding two programs [mostly via PAC-funded TV advertising] in the 2014 cycle: "Red-to-Blue" in Republican-held districts, and "Frontline" to defend Democratic-held districts.

"These battle-tested men and women have proven time and again that they can win because no one better reflects the values of their districts."
Rep. Tim Walz, D-Minn. will spearhead the program as its chairman. He's a Frontline alumnus as recently as the 2012 cycle. Otherwise, the list includes several freshman members and Blue Dog Democrats:

However, under current law, it is illegal to discriminate against immigrants based on their national origin. For almost a decade, Congress debated creating an immigration system free from discrimination by nationality, country of birth, or country of residence. President-elect Trump, however, now proposes to discriminate unlawfully against certain foreign nationals on the basis of the same protected grounds without any legislation from Congress.
