Michael Badnarik on Foreign Policy

Libertarian Party nominee for President

Interventionist foreign policy creates enemies

Q: Your opinion on the 9/11 Report?

A: The 9/11 Report reads sort of like a Rogaine prescription for a chemotherapy patient. Yes, the patient is losing his hair, but that's the least of his problems. The report talks about enhancing the nation's intelligence capabilities, but it doesn't get to the real problem, which is an interventionist foreign policy that needlessly creates enemies. Until we address that, we're stuck playing catch-up with an ever larger, ever more adaptive set of enemies.

Opposes foreign aid of any kind as non-constitutional

Badnarik Opposes: federal subsidies for agriculture, mass transit, public education, foreign aid of any kind, and all nonconstitutionally specified programs. "We're going to stop taking their tax money [and] the people will become richer than their wildest dreams."
