Presidential Candidate Questionnaire
[Approved May 1 2007 by the Green Party]
Statement from the Green Party on questionnaire:

This questionnaire has been designed to give registered Greens and Green Party members an opportunity to learn about the contenders for the 2008 Green Party Presidential Nomination. Return of this questionnaire is part of the process for being considered formally recognized by the party as a candidate for the Green Party nomination.

Statement from the Draft Nader Committee:

NOTE: Prepared and extensively researched solely by the Draft Nader Committee. Ralph Nader is not responsible for its contents. "There is no campaign by Ralph Nader as of December 31, 2007."

Notes from OnTheIssues:

  • Howie Hawkins, head of the Draft Nader Committee, prepared Nader's responses.
  • OnTheIssues avoided any aspects on which Mr. Nader might disagree, but does use Mr. Hawkins' research as definitive statements of Nader's policy opinions.
  • Several other candidates filled out the questionnaire also; but OnTheIssues is only covering the two leading contenders (as we do for leading contenders for the major parties).
  • The date the questionnaires was submitted is unclear -- certainly after Dec. 31, 2007. We downloaded from gp.org on Feb. 3, 2008.
